This two hour workshop will give participants an introduction to refugee and settlement experiences for children and families. We will also explore what early years’ services can do to support young children and their families in their recovery.

Content includes:

  • Impact of refugee and asylum seeking experiences for children and families;
  • The Foundation House Framework for Recovery and how this applies in the early years; and
  • Practical examples and strategies for ‘what works’.

Suitable for

Anyone working, studying or volunteering with children and families in the early years (0 to 8 years).

Priority will be given to those working with children and families in the early years (0 to 8 years).
