This two hour workshop is recommended as the first professional development from Foundation House for those working with children and families in early childhood programs and services.

- The impact of refugee and asylum seeking experiences for young children and their families;
- The impact of trauma on young children’s development and wellbeing;
- The role of early childhood program and service providers in supporting recovery from trauma; and
- Practical examples and strategies to use.

Foundation House is able to offer professional development for those working with children and families in early years through the support of the Victorian Department of Education and Training, therefore there is no charge for this workshop.
