This workshop explores opportunities and challenges for staff in health settings who are also employed, or used incidentally, for their language skills and cultural knowledge.


Content includes
  • Trauma informed practices;
  • Managing client, community and organisational relationships and expectations;
  • Working sustainably with survivors of trauma; and
  • Opportunities for sharing experience and strategies, and networking.

Suitable for

Only available to bicultural health staff delivering or promoting health services and working with people from refugee backgrounds.
NO PRE-REQUISITE REQUIRED


Fee

This program is funded through the Victorian Department of Health and Human Services. Therefore there is no cost to professionals working in these areas.
